This is a song I’ve been kicking around for a couple of years, and after recently adding some lyrics to flesh it out and changing up the vocals, I realized that the arrangement wasn’t as much an issue as that I had written a song that I didn’t yet have the vocal chops to pull off. But with some more time and practice under my belt… I think I got it. Hear it for yourself and let me know what you think!

There are a few more waiting in the wings that I wrote a while back but only now have the ability to play and sing, and I can’t wait to get them recorded for you to hear!

All Music, all the Time!

Snowpocalypse notwithstanding, 2011 is off to a good start here at the Mojo’s Army base!

We’ve been busy uploading videos to our YouTube channel and working on new music — in fact, a brand new demo has been released, a sexy little rocker called “Bathtub” which you can preview at https://www.mojosarmy.com/audio/ Let us know what you think! Expect that one to be refined and released later this year. Another new song, “Forgive” is still in the works, along with several others.

Also, in our annual tribute to San Francisco’s Strong Beer Month, we’ve uploaded the original Thunderpussy to SoundCloud where you can stream or download it for free! We’ve even gone a step further and changed all our free digital downloads to a Creative Commons license that allows you to download and share at will. Just give credit where credit is due.

In case you missed it, Mojo’s Army was just featured on the popular Effects Bay site! If you’ve never checked out the site, you should, it’s a great blog about all things guitar pedals.

Glancing Back, Forging Ahead

Happy New Year Rockers! I hope you all survived the holidays and that the shock of dragging your hungover carcasses back to work wasn’t too painful. (I know it was for me!)

We were way too busy in December to pause and take a proper look back at what a big year 2010 was for Mojo’s Army: wrote some killer new songs, released a single, a free EP, and our first video; completely rebuilt mojosarmy.com from the ground up, designed some sweet new shirts, saw some awesome shows and met some really cool people!

Our vision for the coming year is still crystallizing but I definitely know it will include even more new music — in fact, a brand new song “Forgive” is already in the works! I was just recording scratch vocals this week and plan to have a preview posted soon. This time around I think we’ll be releasing more in-progress samples so you can hear what’s going on behind the scenes. Look for more on that subject in the coming weeks.

Mojo’s Army is also branching out and adding collaborations to the list of goings-on! One is in the works with artist Jabberwocky and we’ll be posting a link to that as soon as it’s available. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and “Like” us on Facebook for the most up-to-date info.
