Mojo’s Pick of the Week – Sasquatch: Maneuvers

Just, damn. Fuzzmasters Sasquatch just released their latest full length album and it is the perfect kind of ‘drop the hammer in your muscle car driving through the desert’ music this summer needed! It’s a cocktail of smoky 70s riff rock, with influences ranging from Mountain and Black Sabbath to Soundgarden and CoC, and goes down as easily as a pint of your favorite beer.

Originally from Philadelphia, power trio Sasquatch now kicks its own brand of ass out of Los Angeles. Heavy without crushing you, fuzzy but no joints required. Just some damn solid bluesy rock and roll that you need to get in your ears as soon as possible!

Favorite tracks: Drown all the Evidence, Rational Woman, Window Pain.

Mojo’s Pick of the Week – Mothership “High Strangeness”

MothershipStoner rock stalwarts Mothership have returned with a new album, “High Strangeness”, released on March 17, 2017, and it’s a sweet ride. Starting slow and easy with the title track before picking up speed with rumbling tracks like Midnight Express and Crown of Lies, High Strangeness is a great addition to the genre, full of what bassist-vocalist Kyle Juett calls “supersonic intergalactic heavy rock and roll”.

The Texas trio is currently on the road with Black Pussy. Catch them if you can.

High Strangeness is available to stream or buy from Ripple Music on Bandcamp here.
