San Francisco bay area metal monsters Mudface just dropped an exclusive world premiere video for their new song “Hellfoot” on Revolvermag.com.
Mudface will be releasing its next album ‘The Band of Existence,’ on March 18 2016. Heavy, melodic, and flat out killer stuff from these guys. Looking forward to it!
It’s February, and in San Francisco, that means two things. One, the beginning of allergy season, but more importantly, the long-awaited return of Strong Beer Month!
(No, I don’t know of anything else going on around here at the moment, why do you ask?)
Strong Beer Month is a collaboration between Magnolia Gastropub and 21st Amendment Brewery, where they collectively present 12 special strong beers brewed just for the occasion. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to drink all 12 and turn in your punch card to receive a commemorative glass before they run out. I have a small collection of the glasses but these days I just stick to sampling a few of the delicious brews. One of them is Magnolia’s Old Thunderpussy Barleywine, which inspired my song “Thunderpussy”.
Historical reference: Magnolia Thunderpussy was the legendary madam at the brothel where the Magnolia Gastropub on Haight Street resides. Yes, now it makes sense.
Your bonus – for the month of February, I am giving away my song “Thunderpussy (Salty Sweet Mix)” on Bandcamp! You can choose to pay for it if you like, or you can enter your email address and get it for free. It’s long been one of my most popular songs, let alone one of my best remixes. I won’t do anything with your email address except send an occasional newsletter. Good deal, eh? Happy February!
Thunderpussy Lyrics
There’s an old friend in town We love when she comes… around We can’t wait to get down With that velvet brown pussy
Thunderpussy
She’s so salty sweet The taste will knock you off your feet So come in off the street And try to take the heat of
Thunderpussy Thunderpussy
(break)
When Thunderpussy comes around Lick it up and suck it down You’ll howl and stomp your feet When you taste her salty sweet she’s
Thunderpussy Thunderpussy
There’s an old friend in town We love when she comes… around
Hey rockers – it’s the end of another jam-packed year for Mojo’s Army! Here’s a quick look back…
My goal for 2015 was to do everything I do, better. So I took a bunch of online courses in subjects like Music Theory, Music Business, and Social Media. I worked on singing, guitar, and songwriting, and entered mixing contests to sharpen my craft.
Happily continued my killer collaboration with guitarists Troy Jay Adams and Jay Hale called “The Answer is None“, releasing 5 new songs over the course of the year. You can hear them on the project’s Soundcloud and on my YouTube Channel. Heavy, groovy, melodic, tasty stuff.. Fans of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Queensryche will be pleased. Here’s the most recent release, “Lucky You”:
Mojo’s Army also released two songs — the title track for “Red Days” and a cover of a naughty 80s classic, “I Want Your Sex.” Here’s “Red Days”:
Other fun stuff – saw some great shows in small venues, bands like Deap Vally, Motor Sister, Ghost, and the revitalized Corrosion of Conformity. I took over hosting a Twitter chat for home recording artists that’s now called the #diymusicchat. And I finally picked up a second guitar which I’ve named “Trouble” — it’s an early 90s Charvel by Jackson that I’ve tricked out with a Perpetual Burn bridge pickup and an FU-Tone brass block, so sweet!
I’m very much looking forward to releasing even more music in 2016 with both Mojo’s Army and The Answer is None, and seeing whatever else the year will bring!
Thanks for continuing this journey with me. I don’t take it lightly, I know your time is valuable and I appreciate it. Check in with me anytime on Twitter or Facebook, and remember that my entire catalog is streaming at my YouTube channel and is available for super cheap at Bandcamp!
