“Something” New from Mojo’s Army!

Yes – a new song from Mojo’s Army! The haunting cover of Nine Inch Nails’ classic “Something I Can Never Have” is available as a single via Bandcamp now! Stream below or view the video on Youtube. This powerful song resonated with me when I first heard it, and I was able to capture an emotional moment of my own in the initial recording.

Fans and friends, 2013 has been a struggle for me. Work and life changes at the beginning of the year left me no time to write or record for months. But I’ve finally settled into a routine and carved out time to sing and record again. This is the fruit of my first full effort to return, and proof that with vision and determination I can still record and release a song in a few short weeks. I’ve had to change my working method yet again — stripped it down and simplified it to allow me to work in the smallest windows of opportunity possible. I appreciate all of you who have stuck with me while I figure this all out!

I am continuing to work on the songs for the next EP, due out later this year. In the meantime you can stream and download all of my previous releases at Bandcamp and mojosarmy.com. Rock on!

Mojo’s Pick of the Week: LoNero

pickThe namesake of founder Bill Lonero, LoNero is a groundbreaking Bay Area guitar rock band that originated a style they call Guitarcore, which is their term for melodic instrumental rock that stands on its own without the need for a singer! Bill and his hallmark purple Peavey Wolfgang fronts the band with a ferocious dedication to pure musicianship.

Last year they released their acclaimed second album J.F.L. (or Just Fucking Listen), bringing a new twist to their unique brand of guitar rock with groovy “punkstramental” songs like “Fat Tat.”LoNero

LoNero prides themselves on their live shows, and are about to embark on a tour as the backing band for Paul Di’Anno, playing classic Iron Maiden from the first two albums. Think about that for a second – they are standing in for Iron fucking Maiden playing with the original singer! This you have to see, if they come anywhere near you!
